You have heard the rumors of alligators living in the sewers, but has anyone heard of a Medusa living in your toilet? Jake has, as he one day walked in a flooded bathroom of his house, only to find that it was flooded by a Medusa. Jake Richmond introduces his comic strip of “Modest Medusa.”
“Modest Medusa” is a comic strip about a 5-year-old medusa that comes from a magical realm and is now living in a toilet as Jake’s roommate. Along with his niece Marah and at least one of his eight roommates Charles, Jake learns to deal with Medusa’s innocent mischief. However, as sweet an innocent as she is, can Jake really trust her. Richmond’s complete first season of “Modest Medusa” can be sold on line as a complete collection along with never before seen strips. Also, as an added bonus, fans can read the mindset of Richmond as he narrates the process of making Medusa and other favorable characters.
The concept was very playful and humorous, if it wasn’t for the swearing in the early seasons and the chainsaw unicorn one would view this as a children’s book. Richmond narrates that he also believes that the actual swearing was not necessary has substituted them as later strips were developed. However, because these features were included, perception can be made as comic strip that anyone can enjoy. The main human characters of the strip are based on Richmond’s roommates and family members who also gave their perception of the comic.
Not surprised by its recent success, “Modest Medusa” is a very interesting comic strip to read. Full with humor, excitement, action and learning the fun facts about it, but the choice is yours as everyone has a different taste in humor. If interested in reading it or Richmond’s other work they are available on their website
